Rams are ready for the battle as they enter the playoffs

The Rams decided to prioritize next week’s playoff opening over Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Seattle Seahawks. With a postseason position already assured, resting eight offensive starters was more vital than trying to win 11 games.

But if you just watched Jimmy Garoppolo roll out and hit Tyler Johnson for a fourth-quarter touchdown, and then saw Garoppolo point at the Seattle sideline while Johnson celebrated in an unprintable way, you wouldn’t have known.

Fighting the good fight or not, the Rams’ comeback attempt on Sunday fell short, resulting in a 30-25 setback.

With the loss, the Rams (10-7) fall to the fourth seed in the NFC and will face the fifth-seeded Minnesota Vikings (14-3) in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
